Our isolation in home office has been going on a long time now. But it is time to reach out and find new ways to talk – to each other, with ourselves or about society and the planet. Have a look at this week’s Home Office Art Competition best entries on “Reaching out” from Mrs. Baigent’s and Mrs. Brunnert’s classes 7 to 10.
This round of the competition coincides with the first classes back at Hochrad, as we welcome back the first groups of year 10 and 6 students. It will be a nice break from reaching out merely digitally to finally seeing each other again for real – even if only at a distance.
Our students’ artworks show very different versions of contact: From messages being exchanged in creative ways to a more global and ecological “Fridays for Future”-themed interpretation of the topic – or simply to be able to grab more biscuits with elongated arms. This week a super-nurse flying to our rescue is the winner in Mrs Brunnert’s groups. In Mrs Baigent’s courses the winning entry is an illustration from year 10 that shows that gadgets cannot make up for real contact, the spark of the other person being there in the flesh.
