A class trip to the International Maritime Museum

On Friday the 20^th November, my class (7c) went to the International Maritime Museum. It was very refreshing after a couple of weeks of school.

At the museum, we followed a guide who showed and told us some very interesting stuff about the museum and its exhibitions. For example, he told us about how miniature ships are constructed and showed miniature versions of Altenwerder’s and Bremerhaven’s harbour. One of my personal favourites was the collection of 31 miniature ships made out of bone.

If you want to visit, my advice is to take your time and read at least some texts. Because in those texts, there are often stories far more interesting than models or pictures.
