This week lots of students handed in their take on „NEWS“ in the second round of the Hochrad Home Office Art Competition. To make things artistically more interesting Mrs. Baigent’s year 8, 9 and 10 and Mrs. Brunnert’s year 7 classes had the additional requirement to combine two different media in their work.
Have a look at the gallery to see some of the best handed in works. Don’t miss another fabulous photo work from last week’s winner. Or the news in person jumping at us out of a box and immediately breaking up into confusing pieces. And apparently some of our students even made it on TV.
The winning entry this week is a film from year 8, in which the news is collected in a Corona time capsule and buried in the garden. In the film you see how the box is carefully designed and filled with confusing and upsetting headlines in quick cuts. In contrast to the speed of the news, the box is then put to rest in the ground. Let’s all hope that the virus will soon only be a buried memory, too!
